AN EPIC MINI-SERIES FILM
"On 9/11, you remember they closed off the island that day right? No one in, no one out. Cos the fuckin world is ending, a great big hole the fuckin sky. You remember.
So lemme tell you one thing I’ve learned in this business: when people think the world is gonna end, when they they’re going to die, they do one of two things.
They fuck, or they eat.
So I knew that everyone on Manhattan was gonna be... hungry.
And when people are hungry...
they want Meat."
In the deep of the Amazon basin of Brazil in the early 2000s, Sun,
a young girl from a remote rainforest tribe, witnesses the murder
of her parents at the hands of Beef cattle ranchers encroaching
into her natural habit and homeland. She is snatched by the
ranchers and ends up in the hands of the Brazilian state,
orphaned and violently disconnected from who she truly is.
In the Northern Ireland of the 1970s Troubles,
a youngCatholic boy, Michael, working at his family butcher’s shop,
witnesses the savage murder of his IRA paramilitary uncle at the hands of
Protestant militants. His family flee to America, in fear of their lives.
Two vicious crimes, two children changed forever:
setting Sun on a path of both revenge and ecological restoration,
and Michael on a path to global dominance in the meat industry,
honouring his uncle’s legacy in ways both brutal and bold.
