before writing took centre stage, he was an actor, training at LAMDA. He performed all over the world, including shows in london's west end and on broadway in New york city. since 2014 he has lived between america and europe, establishing king & fool to develop radical, global stories that transcend borders.

He advises leading news, media and entertainment companies as Director of FT Strategies with a unique blend of experience from senior strategy, editorial and commercial roles over two decades. Previous work includes time as a producer at both ITN and broadcaster for Monocle, before completing an MBA at the University of Cambridge. Thereafter he moved into executive strategy and consultancy, holding senior positions at The Guardian, Conde Naste and now the FT.

Glenny is a journalist, theatre restorer & producer, living and working in Birmingham, Alabama.
As a writer, Her essays and reportage have appeared in Salon, The New York Times, Architectural Record, and other publications.
For eight years, she led the restoration and reopening of the Lyric, a 1914 vaudeville theatre in Birmingham. Now she is working on the renovation of the Lincoln, an historic Black theatre in Bessemer, Ala.
